SHANGHAI
At the end of last year, COACH New York commissioned me to create an art wall about the travel between Shanghai and New York for the upcoming store in Florentia village Shanghai, which surprised me for a while. Now it's out, but l can't see the real one for a well-known reason.
I know that I need to paint the real Shanghai and New York, but I also like the idea of imaginative elements, some of which are even wrong. I want to show the positive aspects of the interaction between these cultures. For example, in New York, there is Chinatown and dim sum, while in Shanghai, we have the French Concession and coffee. These presences often remind us that cultural fluidity and globalization are inevitable, the transmission and development of culture first require an inclusive heart and most importantly, LOVE.
